Privacy Policy

Vidseekr is built to work without knowing who you are. There are no accounts, no cookies, no ads, and nothing that follows you from one day or website to the next.

What we collect

• Your search words and filters. We use them only to fetch results for you, and we don’t save them.
• Basic technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider, Vercel, receives standard request information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. It is used only to run and protect the site.

We don’t ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.

Who we share it with

To show results, your search words and filters are sent to Brave Search, YouTube API Services, and Vimeo. These requests come from our server, not your browser. We don’t sell or rent information to anyone.

Visitor statistics

We count visits in two ways. Neither uses cookies or identifies you.

• Vercel Web Analytics, from our hosting provider, records anonymous page views: the page address (with your search words removed), the website that linked to us, your country or region, and your browser, operating system and device type. Vercel recognises a visit only by a code made from the request, which it discards after 24 hours.
• Our homepage visitor counter turns each visit into a one-way code that changes every day and adds it to an anonymous tally kept with our database provider, Upstash. The tally can only be read back as totals, such as “visitors today”.

YouTube API Services

Vidseekr uses YouTube API Services. Information YouTube provides is handled under the Google Privacy Policy. Vidseekr does not access or store any YouTube account data.

Images and links to other websites

Video thumbnails are loaded by your browser directly from the servers that host them (such as YouTube, Vimeo or Brave Search), so those servers can see your IP address. When you click a result you go to that website, and its own privacy policy applies.

Cookies and storage

Vidseekr does not place cookies or similar technology on your device, and does not read any from it.

Children

Vidseekr does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If we change how Vidseekr handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
